E-Trucking Terms & Conditions

Applicable to Mexico

Quotation

1.    The rate information is given as the best reasonable estimate and is subject to changes.

2.    The Booking Confirmation does not serve as a quotation and cannot be used by the Booking Party to place further bookings.

3.    Acceptance of booking requests is always subject to capacity and equipment availability at both the time of receipt by us of your booking request and the date of confirmed delivery.

4.    OOCL Logistics reserve the right to decline booking notwithstanding any issuance of Booking Confirmation, transport documents or receipt of the Foods, if the cargo weight may exceed any regulatory or other restrictions in any applicable country location.

Payment

1.    All fees and or charges must be paid in accordance with the due date stated on the invoice.

2.    OOCL Logistics reserves the right to seek legal action against any customer in malicious arrears on them after sales payment or overdue payment.

3.    All sums specified on this E-Trucking Platform or otherwise are exclusive of any sales taxes and any other taxes relating to the supply of the products or services which shall be paid by the Registered User at the applicable rate.

Trucking Service

1.    The quoted price is pure trucking cost only per container. It does not include insurance for goods and empty containers or any additional cost such as customs clearance, multi-stops, dangerous goods, cooling chassis, HS-seals, canvas placement in empty OT containers etc.

2.    The price quoted is valid only for goods according to the data provided for quotation purposes.

3.    To apply a tandem rate, the customer must provide two containers for the same move loading at the same terminal (pulling two containers simultaneously with one truck).

4.    The quoted prices are FOT (Free on Truck), excluding cargo loading and unloading.

5.    Toll and fuel charges are included in base rates. We reserve the right to implement fuel floaters on fuel when the price increases significantly.

6.    The rate includes motorways and toll releases in sections necessary for safety and mobility reasons and drivers with radio communication and 24-hour monitoring.

7.    Deliveries in Mexico via any port include 5 hours of free waiting time for loading and unloading. Possible waiting times for any customs or other purposes will be deducted from before mentioned granted waiting times. 

8.    Trucking service only applies to standard containers and is subject to weight limitations. Maximum payload for all motor transportation is 25 tons, tare included per container. The mentioned weight limitations are for Mexico deliveries only. For other countries, lower weight limits may apply.

9.    If the above weight limit is exceeded, an overweight fee will be incurred, and the overweight fee will be quoted according to the specific conditions of the shipment.

10.    Details of the trucking service arrangement, in the standard format, should be sent to our customer service team at least three working days before loading. Loading references and necessary documentation which are needed for loading must be submitted unsolicited. Otherwise, the transport cannot be guaranteed as planned, and any related costs will charge to the customer.

11.    We shall only confirm and arrange the trucking service after receiving and verifying the business information (including detailed packing address and other information) when the requirements in clause ten are deemed fulfilled.

12.    Any transport cancellation less than two working days before the agreed appointment date may result in a waste trip and other additional costs, which we will charge to the customer. Please consider 100% of the service fee for dead freight, 70% of the total service fee for cancellation without advance notice, and 15% of the total service fee for unanticipated rescheduling.

13.    The customer will be responsible for all costs incurred from the delay of customs declaration if the customer or their agent arranges their own customs declarations. The same applies to delays beyond the forwarder’s control (e.g. act of god or strike).    

14.    During the epidemic, there may be other additional costs incurred. If any, we will confirm with the customers in advance for acceptance. As follow: dead freight: 100% of the service, Cancellation without advance: 70% of the total service and Unanticipated rescheduling: 15% of the total service.

15.    The trucking service is subjected to all relevant charges for terminal operation related to the shipping company or the third-party operation fee (including but not limited to):
a.    Container lift-on and lift-off fee    
b.    Container early pick-up Fee                    
c.    Container drop-off fee                                
d.    Seal fee                                    
e.    Port security fee                                
f.    Port congestion surcharge                            
g.    Gate entrance fee                                
h.    Container pickup barcode fee

16.    The service will be billed as land freight coordination, which does not generate retention or CCP, and will be billed with the following SAT account 78141501 as LAND FREIGHT COORDINATION.

Additional Surcharges
Waiting charges:
•    Charge for stays for every 12 hours in case of generation: MXN 6,500 per container
•    Rate is subject to 16% VAT

•    Dead Freight: 100% of service charge
•    Cancellation without advance: 70% of the service charge
•    Unanticipated rescheduling: 15% of total service charge
