E-Customs Solution Terms & Conditions

Applicable to Thailand

1.    Quotation on the E-Customs Solution (E-CHB) platform for customs house brokerage (CHB) business in Thailand is per entry and includes basic handling charge only, for up to 13 lines of HS code for export and 13 lines for import. Additional costs will be applied to extra lines.

2.    OOCL Logistics will not handle unaccompanied items (e.g., personal effects or household goods) transported into REGION for returning or new residents of REGION, via sea or air freight. 

3.    Mandatory documents required for providing CHB service in Thailand:
a.    Commercial Invoice
b.    Packing list for export/ import declarations

4.    Additional documents (where applicable):
a.    Permits according to commodities to be shipped

5.    Power of Attorney (POA) is to be printed on company letter headed paper and signed by the customer. The document grants OOCL Logistics authorization to conduct customs procedures on behalf of the customer and provides the required information to enable internal account creation.

6.    E-CHB service requests must be made at least 2 working days (5 working days for new customers) before the shipment ETA/ETD. Necessary documentation must be submitted unsolicited. Otherwise, CHB service cannot be guaranteed.

7.    OOCL Logistics shall only confirm and arrange CHB service after receiving and verifying the business information of the service request and mandatory documents listed in Clause 3.

8.    OOCL Logistics reserves the right to dismiss any E-CHB service requests in the cases of (but not limited to) payment default, failed submission of mandatory documents due and refusal to provide an adequate description of goods in the customs declaration by the customer.

9.    The customer will be responsible for all costs incurred from delays beyond OOCL Logistics’ control (e.g., Acts of God or strikes). The provided clause also applies to (but is not limited to) overdue submission of mandatory documents, overdue payment, customs holds, Port Authority holds and vessel delays.
