E-Trucking Terms & Conditions
Applicable to Hong Kong SAR
Quotation
1. The rate information is given as the best reasonable estimate and is subject to change.
2. The Booking Confirmation does not serve as a quotation and cannot be used by the Booking Party to place further bookings.
3. Acceptance of booking requests is always subject to capacity and equipment availability at both the time of receipt by OOCL Logistics of your booking request and the date of confirmed delivery.
4. OOCL Logistics reserves the right to decline the booking, notwithstanding any issuance of Booking Confirmation, transport documents or receipt of the Goods, if the cargo weight may exceed any regulatory or other restrictions in any applicable country location.
Payment
1. All fees and/or charges must be paid in accordance with the due date stated in the invoice.
2. OOCL Logistics reserves the right to seek legal action against any customer in malicious arrears on their after-sales payment or overdue payment.
3. All sums specified on the E-Trucking platform or otherwise are exclusive of any sales taxes and/or any other taxes relating to the supply of the products or services which shall be paid by the Registered User at the applicable rate.
Trucking Service
1. The price quoted is pure trucking cost only and does not include any disbursement fee.
2. The offer is subject to empty and laden container pickup/return at the same port.
3. Deliveries in China include free waiting time: 20'GP containers are 2 hours; the free waiting time for 40'GP or 40'HQ containers are 3 hours. If the stipulated time is exceeded, an overtime fee will be incurred.
4. Trucking service is only applicable to standard containers and is subject to weight limitations, the total weight limit for a 20'GP container (including tare weight) is 16 tons; the total weight limit for a 40'GP and 40'HQ container (including tare weight) is 22 tons.
5. If the above weight limit is exceeded, an overweight fee will be incurred, and the overweight fee will be quoted according to the specific conditions of the shipment.
6. Trucking costs may be adjusted with market changes, especially for holidays (including but not limited to the National Day of the People's Republic of China and the Spring Festival), subject to further negotiations.
7. Details of the trucking service arrangement in the standard format should be sent to OOCL Logistics' Customer Service team 2 working days before loading.
8. OOCL Logistics shall only confirm and arrange the trucking service after receiving and verifying the business information (including detailed packing address and other information) when the requirements in Clause 7 are deemed fulfilled.
9. If the customer cancels any trucking service within 2 working days (or 48 hours) before the appointed pickup time, a cancellation fee may be charged, according to the actual situation. For cancellations after the vehicle departs, the standard trucking cancellation fee will apply.
10. Moving only one 20'GP container will incur additional charges.
11. The rate does not include export/import customs house brokerage at the origin/destination.
12. The customer will be responsible for all costs incurred from the delay of customs declaration if the customer or their agent arranges their own customs clearance.
13. During the epidemic, there may be other additional costs incurred. If applicable, OOCL Logistics will confirm with the customer in advance for acceptance:
a. Due to the epidemic, if the shipment must be routed via highways, the highway fee shall be reimbursed; if a sudden detour is required on the way, the detour fee will be subject to confirmation; road closure may result in empty return or risk of missed connections to the vessel at the port.
b. Other possible charges such as PCR test fee, epidemic prevention fee, etc., may be applicable.
14. Additional charges will be incurred in the following situations (including but not limited to):
a. Exceeded free waiting time
b. Overnight waiting fee
c. Laden container drop-off
d. Double gate-in
e. Overweight
f. Return of empty containers to equipment facilities
g. Change of empty container pickup facilities
h. Trucking cancellation fee
15. The trucking service is subject to all relevant charges for terminal operations related to the shipping company or third-party operation fees (including but not limited to):
a. Container lift-on and lift-off fee
b. Container early pickup fee
c. Container drop-off fee
d. Seal fee
e. Post security fee
f. Port congestion surcharges
g. Gate entrance fee
h. Container pickup barcode fee
16. For import shipments, the customer shall be responsible for EMR.
17. Additional fees or third-party disbursements of the trucking service may change according to the actual situation of the local market at the time of shipment.
18. The tariff does not bear the consequences of any extra charges caused by force majeure, such as typhoons, storms, server traffic jams or serious road damages, etc.
