To further strengthen the protection of your OOCL Account and enhance our digital security measures, OOCL is introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (“MFA”). This enhancement is part of our ongoing effort to provide you with a safer, more reliable, and future-ready online experience.
Your trust is important to us. As more of your business interactions move online, we remain committed to ensuring that your account information is securely protected. MFA is an important step in reinforcing that commitment.
Why MFA is being introduced
MFA adds an extra layer of protection by requiring a 6-digit One-Time Passcode (“OTP”) in addition to your password. This significantly reduces the risk of unauthorised access, even if your password is leaked, shared, or compromised elsewhere.
When MFA will take effect
MFA will be activated starting 22 March 2026. From this date onward, an OTP will be required when you perform certain sensitive actions in your OOCL Account.
Which actions require MFA
MFA will be mandatory in My OOCL Centre for the following functions:
- Manage Users or Permissions
- Manage Company Information
- Update Personal Information
You may also optionally enable MFA for your login at any time under: Account Profile or My Profile → Personal Account → Security.
