Frequently Asked Questions
You can extend outbound (origin) free time from booking confirmation up until empty container pickup, and inbound (destination) free time from booking confirmation up until the vessel departs from the first port of loading (POL).
You may submit request once per bound (origin or destination) per detention or demurrage type. Multiple requests for the same bound are not available at this time.
If your free time has already been amended through offline coordination with OOCL representatives, the online extension option will no longer be available for that specific shipment.
Your submitted free time extension is non-refundable, even if some of the extended days go unused. Unused days will lapse and cannot be transferred to another booking or shipment.
If you cancel the associated shipment booking, standard booking cancellation fees will apply. The Extra Free Time request itself cannot be cancelled or refunded independently.
