Learn how to secure a Smart Combo E-Quote in FreightSmart and use it to submit a booking in My OOCL Centre.
All E-Quote quotations must be saved or secured before you can use them to submit a booking. Ocean freight rates for a Smart Combo E-Quote are fixed when you secure the E-Quote. Surcharges and free time may be fixed or may not, depending on the quotation offering.
Secure rates of a Smart Combo E-Quote
- In the search results, find the Smart Combo E-Quote you want to use, then select Details.
- Review the quotation details, then select Select.
- On the Customising your E-Quote page, review the quotation summary, additional service inclusions, and terms and conditions.
- Select Agree and Secure My E-Quote.
- A confirmation page appears with your E-Quote number. Your secured E-Quote and its secured rates are available in My Quote & Book.
Securing a Smart Combo E-Quote does not submit a booking. If you want to book immediately after securing your E-Quote, select Book on the confirmation page, then complete your booking in My OOCL Centre.
Submit a booking
- Go to My Quote & Book in FreightSmart and find your Smart Combo E-Quote.
- In the Actions column, select the more options button (…), then select Submit Booking.
- In My OOCL Centre, enter your shipment details and follow the on-screen instructions to submit your booking.
Once your booking request is submitted, you can review its status in My OOCL Centre and proceed with the shipment process.
| Every E-Quote quotation has a validity period and will become invalid when it expires. After it expires, you can still view its secured rates in My Quote & Book, but you can no longer use the quotation to submit a new booking. To make a new booking, get and secure a new E-Quote. |
