What is FreightSmart? 

FreightSmart is an innovative full-service online platform from OOCL providing comprehensive end-to-end supply chain solutions spanning the entire shipping process. From instant receipt of a quotation, through order placement and booking of freight, container pickup, and maritime and inland transportation, to customs declarations and clearance, the customer enjoys the convenience of being enabled to complete all the required activities seamlessly on a single platform.  

Ordering and Booking 

FreightSmart accepts orders and bookings for the following services: 

• E-Spot (for General Cargo, Reefer Cargo & NOR). E-Spot quotes are offered at ad hoc prices depending on availability. Once confirmed, E-Spot orders are immediately locked in at the booked rate and date, with space and equipment protection. 

• E-Quote quotations are at stable prices which remain fixed for a specified period, and are suitable for customers who wish to plan bookings ahead for the longer term.  

• E-Trucking – trucking solutions that connect multiple nodes in the supply chain network, facilitating one-stop end-to-end solutions. E-Trucking currently covers popular routes in five markets, with additional routes and countries coming soon. 

• E-Customs Solution – with online customs service, customers can simplify their imports and exports clearance. A smooth compliance process helps customers to increase supply chain efficiency. 

• Extra D&D – requests for changes to demurrage and detention terms may be made via E-Spot. 

Terms and Conditions, including cancellation fees for any service where payable, are all transparently set out. 

Tracking and Managing Your Orders 

FreightSmart helps you to keep track of your shipments and manage them more easily, including  

• Control Tower – empowers you to view and manage your orders and bookings efficiently. You can also submit related actions such as SI and VGM through FreightSmart. 

• Cargo Tracking+ – available as part of Control Tower, this provides transparent visualisation of the real-time cargo status from the moment you place your order, through to delivery and container return.  

Loyalty Programme

• PlumSmart – also associated with FreightSmart is PlumSmart. As a regular customer, you can enjoy a variety of rewards such as attractive discounts and special offers.
